GERAKAN LITERASI DIGITAL NASIONAL SEBAGAI SALAH SATU MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DI KOTA MEDAN

Abstract

Digital literacy is a form of ability to obtain, understand and use information from various sources in digital form. Digital literacy is indispensable to solve the problem of explosion information that continues to increase in digital sources, including the wider community which requires it to always be in touch with the times. Digital literacy skills are not only based on the ability to operate computer devices, but are also accompanied by the ability to understand, process and apply information appropriately in various forms. This research was conducted in North Sumatra on 754 people in Medan from different professions. With data collection techniques using the questionnaire method. The result is that the digital literacy of the community in Medan shows results that are classified as high in all aspects of digital literacy competence from 5 years ago. Where respondents said 76% of 754 respondents said they experienced an increase in digital literacy from 5 years ago. And 97 out of 900 respondents said that around the location of the house there was a telephone/cellular signal. Internet access also showed an increase, the most accessing the internet at 07.01-10.00. sources get the most information from social media by 81% of 900 respondents. Communicating through messages is 82% of the respondent's data. The results of the study show a fairly high ability, but there are still several components supporting the main aspects that are still in the low category.
